The dazzling realm beneath the sea of the Galapagos captivates as much curiosity as the islands themselves. Discover both on board the M/Y SKY DANCER, a 16-passenger 100-foot custom designed dive live-aboard. Built in 2001, the SKY DANCER offers the newest and best-equipped vessel and ultimate diving experience in Galapagos for serious divers.

Sky Dancer is fully air conditioned with rich teak paneling and furnishings throughout. She has a dining area, and a main salon with an audio/video entertainment center and eight comfortable staterooms located on two decks. Each cabin features two twin beds, private head/ shower, mirrored cabinet, wardrobe, full length mirror, window view or port light, bathrobes, hairdryer, toiletries and fresh towels daily. Divers appreciate ample space for personal gear storage, a wide stern dive platform with fresh water showers, fresh water rinses, dive deck assistance and photo and dive equipment rentals.

The Sky Dancer's 10 day tour offers a total of approximately 21 dives and 3 land excursions, and covers 565.5 nautical miles of ocean. There will be up to four dives per day including night dives at Wolf and Darwin. The first two days and last two days will be a combination of shore excursions with 2-3 dives per day. Most dives are drift dives along the cliff faces of off-shore rocks and pinnacles. All dives are dependant upon the skill level of the divers.

Sky Dancer tours run Thursday to Thursday each week. You need at least one day travel within Ecuador on each end. One night hotel at each end of the tour and transfers in Quito are included. Additional days/nights in Quito can be arranged at reasonable cost. International airfare and airfare from Quito to San Cristobal in the Galapogos are priced when booked. Here is a proposed itinerary.

May 21, 2010: Arrive Quito.
Transfer to hotel. Overnight in Quito.
May 22: Fly Galapagos (D)
An early morning flight from Quito brings you to the Galapagos Archipelago. Upon arrival, you will be picked up and transferred to the Sky Dancer yacht - your home for the next seven nights. This afternoon we head to our first island and the beginning of a week filled with mysteries of the natural world.
May 23-28: Galapagos (B, L, D daily)
We visit 8 to 10 islands during our unforgettable voyage. Each day you leave the comfort of our yacht and go ashore in our panga (the local word for dinghies, Zodiacs, etc.) to remote areas of the islands for natural history walks through the Galapagos's unique ecology. Our crew takes excellent care of you with delicious meals and attends to all your creature comforts on board. On the islands our naturalist guide shows you the diversity of Galapagos life and teaches you about the area's natural history. This is everyone's chance to photograph unusual marine iguanas, snorkel with playful sea lions, and just take in the unique landscape of ancient volcanic turmoil. Except for a few settlements, the entire archipelago a national park and the beaches and meandering footpaths invite relaxation and fanciful dreams.
Sky Dancer cruises the Galapagos Islands following a planned itinerary that is approved by the Galapagos National Park and includes visits to the very remote islands of Wolf and Darwin. All diving is conducted from Zodiac tenders that are easily accessed from Sky Dancer's wide dive platform.
May 29: Fly Galapagos to Quito (B)
This morning we say good-bye to Darwin's inspiration. Afterwards, transfer back to the airport for your late morning or early afternoon flight back to Quito. Overnight in Quito.
May 30: Depart for Home
